Neoclassic Art

Neoclassic Art developed following the excavation of the Italian cities of Herculaneum, 1738, and Pompeii in 1748. Their style of art flourished in Europe and North America from about 1750 to the early 1800's.

Interesting, when Napoleon came to power, the style was modified to serve his propagandists needs.
