Pre-Columbian Art thrived from 1800 BC to 1500 AD and is the art of Mexico, Central and South America. Their artwork has a great range of variety, but certain characteristics were repeated, namely a preference for angular, linear patterns and three-dimensional ceramics.

Most of the now known art comes from tombs is Central and South America. The spent enormous amounts of time, energy and materials to equip the leaders and elite for their after-death journeys. Death was considered a transition and journey from one realm of existence to another.
